The DreamCatchers Project
Some people have always known what they wanted to do for a living, and went for it. Others are still trying to figure that out.
Yours truly is currently floating right in the middle.
I wanted to find something that I was passionate about: the kind of job where I would have a huge smile on my face when I talked about it, or I couldn’t wait to get to work.
I wanted a job that made me really, and I do mean really happy.
This of course is easier said than done, because the way I see it, it’s a 2 part challenge:
1. Finding your passion.
2. Making your passion your livelihood.
*insert slight anxiety attack here*
And so I did what anyone my age does when presented with a dilemma:
I sighed and I started scrolling through my Facebook news feed.
What I saw were my peers, doing exactly what I was trying to figure out..
These individuals had not only found their passion, but had made it their respective careers.
It would have been easy to get annoyed at the fact that they had figured out a way to do what I was currently trying to figure out, but instead I chose to look at them as a source of inspiration.
And so with the help of EdgeUp Marketing, the DreamCatchers Project was born.
In this case I’m not referring to that Native-American object with the feathers…
A DreamCatcher to me is a person that found their passion, went for it, and is achieving success in their respective field.
Over the course of the next few weeks I will be sharing a collection of stories of some very special people.
These are individuals that I respect, and look up to.
I will be sharing these stories in the hope that they inspire you to go after your own dream, motivate you to not give up on figuring out what it is you want to do, and also because I think that there is no shame in applauding someone for doing something great.
Our generation is very accustomed to throwing shade…So I am going out on a limb, to shine a lil’ light…
Stay tuned for great stories and even some videos!
